eve_primeToday, finally, was Ajani’s dental surgery, the one that had been postponed for a month because of his heart condition. I had to drive him there on four hours’ sleep (which I did manage to get this time, thankfully, unlike last time). Then I was able to sleep two more hours, after which I got up, made breakfast, and went to pick him up. He was fine except for being a bit loopy on opioids. I had to wait nearly two hours to feed him, though, and then I was able to nap one more hour after that, which definitely helped.
To pass the time while waiting to feed him, and then after my final nap, I wanted to cuddle with him, so I watched TV on the couch. Specifically, I watched a Hallmark movie called Love’s Greek to Me, in which a young couple’s vacation on Santorini is plagued by excessive attention from the man’s overbearing Greek mother, determined to control every aspect of her daughter’s wedding (the rationale for the vacation) and the prospective marriage of the young couple. The reason I wanted to see it, aside from the Santorini scenery, was that the mother was played by Marina Sirtis, who had been Deanna Troi on Star Trek: TNG.
