Day 406: Music + milestone
Apr. 25th, 2021 11:58 pmThis afternoon's event was another concert by the Santa Rosa Symphony, which was fun. During the three breaks, I worked on reading my two sample chapters, and when it was done, and we'd finished our shopping and I'd made and eaten the Sunday spaghetti, I focused on making all the edits to both sample chapters and the rest of the book proposal. Somehow during all the editing I managed to listen to three Beethoven symphonies, #s 7, 1, and 2. (Beethoven was not part of the concert). Finally, by 10 pm I got it sent to my agent. Whew! I still need to get all the references organized.
I'd recorded the first movie in the Gourmet Detective series again and was watching the first half hour or so, just now, and at the fancy dinner party an ensemble started to play a familiar piece. Now it's stuck in my head, but at least I wrote the first phrases down. It sounds baroque but simple. I need one of those classical music-identifying apps. This melody can compete with the other one that's been in there for weeks, which I'm guessing is by Beethoven but hey, it's not in symphony #7, 1, or 2...
