Although Oregon State is our official rival, all Ducks feel more strongly about beating Washington than any other team... and this time Washington was ranked #7 nationally and had beaten Oregon soundly both of the past two years, if I remember correctly. So when their relatively straightforward field goal attempt with 3 seconds left managed to fail, we became hopeful. And then they scored a field goal in overtime... but we scored a touchdown. Woo hoo!
J. and his friends didn't advance in the team Grand Prix they were playing in, today in Denver. I've done a fair amount of work and housework and have been relaxing with the second Elizabeth Moon book about Paksenarrion. (And also, the JJ Feild version of Northanger Abbey, always a favorite.)
