Book completed
Aug. 18th, 2023 11:17 pmThe Shadow of Kyoshi, by F.C. Yee. This one finishes the story he began in the other book, and we spend a lot of time in the Fire Nation.
I am so sleepy. I'm either coming down with J's cold or spending lots of physical resources on fighting it off. This week's movie was just Spaceballs, so the fact that I strongly needed a nap as soon as it started wasn't a big problem; I just curled up on the couch and listened to Ambrose "meep meep" for attention as I drifted off to sleep.
What else? Hm, I tried to buy a new monitor. Yesterday I went to Office Max and almost injured myself attempting to walk through their sliding door when it didn't slide - they'd inexplicably temporarily changed their closing time to 6 pm. Today I went earlier than that and discovered that they didn't even have any 17" monitors. The smallest was 27". So I looked online and saw one that might be okay but might not. I ended up buying an adapter, which I'll try with my other old VGA monitor, the one that isn't missing a pin. It might take more than a week to arrive, though.
