Somehow, waking in the middle of the night last night from a dream in which D. was setting a figurative yet physical red stick insect on my neck made me think of the recent Salon article about Christopher Hitchen’s Mother Teresa book, which in turn inexplicably led to some really productive thoughts about the “purity/sanctity” component of the so-called “moral foundations theory.” When I get this all properly written up, it’s going to be good stuff.
