Dress-shopping

I have not yet become serious about shopping for a dress for the wedding. I looked online a bit, then my friend JLS (whose daughter is getting married in less than two weeks) gave me a link to the dress she bought and its website, so I looked there a while. Then today a new Coldwater Creek catalog arrived in my mailbox, and after paging carefully through it, I identified a dress that would suit me quite well. But… they only have it in one size, “petite small.” I’m 5’8, so maybe that would have fit me when I was 10? They only had two dresses available in my size whatsoever. Oh well.

That seems odd that they only have one size, unless it's popular and is nearly out of stock. I have found that if I want to buy clothes, I have to do it the moment the new catalogue appears or I get the advertising email. If I wait they only have tiny or huge sizes left.

I think they must have taken a long time to get their catalog printed and shipped, or else they were being deceptive about availability, putting in dresses that they knew were mostly sold out. The dress I wanted had lots of online feedback about how nice it was for the people who ordered it in the other sizes. I thought since I'd just received the catalog a few hours earlier there would be lots of options, but no.

I am looking forward to feeling better in a few days so I can actually go to some local dress shops...
