Wandering while waiting
Nov. 27th, 2012 11:14 pmI bought tires today, which was cold and foggy all day long. While waiting for the Les Schwab guys to do the job, I wandered in the neighborhood and made numerous discoveries. The rather disturbing pet store is gone, though I would have liked to see the animals again. There’s a make-it-yourself glass fusion shop. The concrete canals that usher Amazon Creek through the old neighborhood weren’t entirely bleak, as licorice ferns were thriving on the sides. And a ramen shop I hadn’t heard of before smelled delicious!
My tires were ready in 35 minutes. I hadn’t even had time to look at the Christmas ornaments in Hiron’s, let alone tackle the stack of reading material I’d brought along.
