Today’s highlights

• Playing my new Carcassonne expansion with D. and J. Inns! Cathedrals!
  
• Watching the gang on Mythbusters make sandstone, limestone, and granite cannonballs. This was the notorious segment filmed last December, which sent a cannonball through someone’s house.
  
• Walking with T. and Chong. Nothing remarkable about it, but it’s nice to have friends. It’s dark now when we walk; we went up Donald until it started to get steep. T. and I advised Chong about a long road trip she’s taking when her husband visits during winter break. Next week, my library-mom-friend will probably join us.
  
• Reflecting that tomorrow will be a day off.

Now I’m watching As Time Goes By. It’s one of the ones where Jean’s sister-in-law inspires her into a series of panicky white lies that make things increasingly difficult for Lionel. I’ve seen this episode at least twice before, though it’s been a few years. I guess this makes me a fuddy duddy, but it feels so cozy sometimes.
