Frazzle-dee-dee
Aug. 14th, 2012 11:16 pmTwo things that make me too tense to sleep – having a proposal submission delayed until the last possible day, and working on high-pressure stuff too late at night. With both of those combined last night, I didn’t get to sleep until nearly 3:30 a.m., and I got less than six hours of it, despite two later attempts to nap.
However, today went fine, and I think my part in this proposal is done. I worked on that a bunch, including a phone meeting, but then in the evening I got to walk with the other moms. After three weeks of everyone either cancelling or on vacation, this time we had five of us, and we recruited another woman en route to the park. It was so warm that we focused on “strolling” rather than exercise, though we did go quite a ways, and I got to converse with each of the others individually, several times. At one point, we stopped to look at a milkweed plant (the kind monarch butterflies want), and some kitty came running from way down the street to meet us. Then we went to the secret park for a bit, and the kitty actually took a shortcut through a yard to rejoin us, which was funny. There was also a deer in the street, though he crossed into a yard before I had my camera ready.
