Friday in summer

Today, I did some work, planted dianthus in five containers in various spots, renewed some library books, helped J. a bit with moving, and went swimming with D. Now I’m tired! D. likes to be very interactive and competitive in the pool. Today we played a two-person version of volleyball, then did races, then played catch, until finally I relaxed by floating about while D. challenged himself to stay in one rigid position after tackling a beachball, for ten minutes.

I am so fortunate to be in charge of my own time. I probably take it for granted too much, but it’s wonderful, really.

We are having great weather, too, finally.
