Unexpectedly busy day
Jun. 13th, 2012 10:47 pmSo, let’s see. I went to campus and met with G; we thought some about our next proposal. Then I stopped in to see Sara, then I went over to the library and collected J, and we went to the bookstore, where I bought a nice green tank top (school color but no logo). Then we went to Fred Meyer, where I bought... some dark blue sheets for the guest bedroom, a pillow, two more tanktops (blue and pink), and the Zelda game that D’s saving up for... all for about $75. The Zelda game alone was about $13 cheaper than on Amazon.
Then we went over to McMenamin’s for “happy hour” for the subset of our department that specializes in social and personality psychology, and we hung out for a full two hours, chatting mostly with Sanjay, Karyn, and then Sara when she showed up. So relaxing!
When we got home and I’d retrieved D, we then had... 10 min of jugball, this week’s Korra episode, some shopping at Safeway, and some watching of D. playing Zelda: Twilight Princess, which he’d started this morning after finishing Majora’s Mask. And then, what an enormous hug I got from D. when I surprised him with his new game (Skyward Sword) – he was a few weeks away from saving up the Amazon price, but he did have enough for the Fred Meyer price. He still needs some controller enhancement, but he’s so thrilled just to have it in hand.
