eve_primeMore work on the Dept. of Justice proposal – IRB paperwork, mostly. How do you handle Human Subjects concerns when you’re studying the work of hate groups and violent radical extremists?
Also I’m finally doing that salience coding (the stuff I’ve been muttering about here for the last week or more). I realized that in my dissertation proposal I said I’d do 30 students’ worth, which means I don’t have to do all 169 for whom I ended up getting data. It’s not so bad at all, now.
D’s friend’s little brother, the one who wanted a veterinarian to heal his ailing praying mantis, is recovering from stomach ’flu or food poisoning, with one possible culprit being the scorpion lollipop he ate last weekend. (Yikes.)
We’re hoping that on Eureka, they’ll decide to transfer the consciousness of the Felicia Day character into an android. Surely that’s occurred to the writers?
