Today’s highlights:

• Learning a lot about raccoons from an episode of Nature, “Raccoon Nation,” which I watched with D. Baby raccoons are SO cute! Now I need a baby raccoon icon, to go with my red panda icon. Okay, there we go.
  
• Attending the psych department’s annual party for prospective grad students, complete with a magic show by our famous good-humored skeptic / magician / professor emeritus, Ray Hyman. I especially liked meeting one of the prospects, a woman near my age who’s studying moral cognitions.
