• It’s obviously the holiday season – this TV channel I’ve been watching has had Finding Nemo and Beauty and the Beast back to back! Makes it feel like Friday.
  
• D. was assigned #42 on his basketball team. He loves it. I doubt anyone else on the team knows the significance of 42, but D. does, and he’s so cool.
  
• This evening, D. had a homework assignment to make a list of 20 “interesting” things in the house and their country of origin. He soon got tired of including stuff made in China, so we started skipping those. (“My U of O duck was made in China? How could they make something when they don’t know what it is?”) Surprising: our TV remote was made in Indonesia, the plates came from Malaysia, quite a lot of our food is Canadian, and I have a UO t-shirt from Haiti.
  
• I’ve actually almost finished all of my Christmas shopping. Next up: wrapping. Not tonight, though.
