Teacher “tyranny”

Poor D – he spent nearly four hours on homework tonight. First, he spent nearly two hours recopying all his social studies homework for the last few weeks because the teacher wanted it in pencil rather than pen. Then came clarinet practice. Finally, by the time he got to his math homework (very tiresome questions about rates), he was so tired that he couldn’t remember how to do things that he knows quite well by light of day. We’ll have to save watching Mythbusters ’til tomorrow. At least basketball practice didn’t take two hours out of the evening, as it has every other day this week. And at least we got to read the fun conclusion of The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents. I wish Terry Pratchett had written even more books for kids.
