Sunday evening whirlwind

Today was low-key until I retrieved D. around 4 p.m., and then it’s been pretty busy thereafter. He wanted to make molasses bread for extra credit for his language arts class, so we bought the few ingredients we didn’t have then followed a recipe from the web (simple enough that he could have done it himself, except for the oven, but he prefers to do things together). Then I made our Sunday spaghetti, which we ate while watching Big Time Rush, then I baked some wheat bread while he practiced his clarinet, then we carried out his grand notion of a train track building competition (for which Lillian was the “judge”), and finally I read him more of the fourth Tiffany Aching book. We just met up with an old favorite Discworld character who hadn’t been heard from in a very long time.

(Still the migraine that I’ve had since Tuesday; still the queasiness that I’ve had for several days longer. Blah.)
