• D. entertained himself during today’s Ducks game by doing 305 reasonably good push-ups, ten at a time. (My fault: Once he got to 80, I more or less dared him to do 300, which I'd thought an improbably high number.) His thin little arms are going to be sore tomorrow!
  
• I finished painting the picket fence, or at least the main exterior length of it. It took me two years this time.
  
• I baked some bread, then later D. had Orange Dinner (macaroni and cheese, carrots, and orange juice). After he left for his sleepover at R’s, I made myself a chanterelle risotto. Delicious! Also very economical, since I get three meals out of it for maybe $5 total.
  
• And now I’ve finished reading The Eyre Affair, so it seems time to finally watch the newest film version of Jane Eyre. As soon as I post this, I’ll slip it into the DVD player.
