Thanks to “summer”
Jun. 22nd, 2011 12:03 am...I could do all of these things that I wouldn’t usually get to do:
Meanwhile, I’m starting to plan a pilot study to improve the odds for funding my recently rejected grant proposal. I also thought I would finally get to start my dissertation survey, but the fellow who supposedly fixed it in fact introduced new problems.
- I picked three roses (in shades of peach, gold, and cream) to take to D’s school secretary, to thank her for getting him a corrected graduation certificate.
- I spent time swimming in the pool with D, including multiple “races” and a brief spinning contest. (Note to self: No more swimming contests.)
- I got to hang out with a few co-workers at Hideaway Bakery’s pizza night, with their outdoor pizza oven, live music, and a really delightful, almost Mediterranean atmosphere. (Now I want to go back every Tuesday!)
