So if you’re battling pirates and run out of cannonballs, will cheese do the trick? Today on Mythbusters we learned that it all depends on the cheese. Edam’s too soft and will just bounce off their sail. Gouda’s too hard and explodes into cheese-shrapnel. Garrotxa, however, a Catalan goat cheese I’d never heard of, has just the right amount of interior elasticity – it held together and did puncture a hole in the sail.

Quite allergic today, despite the rains. Kind of out of it.
