Quirky observation
Mar. 14th, 2011 08:57 pmToday D’s homework included the task of cutting out examples from newspapers of percents, decimals, and fractions. Well, I can now report that although decimals and percents are quite common, in the ads and the regular text too, we failed entirely to find any examples of fractions. Newspapers are not into fractions these days.
(Happy birthday to my grandma; she’d have been 102. And although I doubt she ever knew that this is π day, she did like to bake pie.)
