The lovely rain...

eve_primeIt waters my tomato and strawberry plants so I don't have to, it knocks all of the pollen out of the air, and if I'm lucky, like today, it decorates Spencer Butte with beautiful veils of cloud drifting in and around the douglas firs, making our little mountain look so cool and fresh and mysterious and ancient.
Here's what I mean. (picture from Feb.)
I went to three more bookstores looking for Marta's butterfly book, with no luck. If I had had time, I would have checked at the library when I picked up the new LeGuin essays on writing, which they had on hold for me. (As if I needed another book!)
Today is Herb's 60th birthday. Long may he reign (and bring in grants for us to work on).
