Apparently, one of McCain's POW stories has been found suspiciously similar to one told by Solzhenitsyn in The Gulag Archipelago, and when this was pointed out, his spokesman started his response with, "It may be typical of the pro-Obama Dungeons & Dragons crowd to disparage a fellow countryman's memory of war from the comfort of mom's basement..."
Okay, before we go any further with this one, I'm stumped by the equation of "Dungeons & Dragons crowd" with "pro-Obama." My first circle of D&D friends were mostly libertarian Reaganites, practically survivalists, which still doesn't seem all that anomalous to me.*
Anyway, Wired is having fun with this. Head on over there and cast your vote: If John McCain were a D&D character, what kind would he be?
(Thanks for the tip,

* Sure, most of my current D&D friends are at least somewhat liberal, but that's because most of my friends are at least somewhat liberal.
