Babe: Pig in the City isn't actually set in fantasy Sydney; it's just that the Sydney Opera House is one of the many features of Metropolis's skyline, along with the Eiffel Tower and various other tall buildings. I'd assumed it was Sydney yesterday from the opera house and from knowing the first movie was filmed in NSW, but I'd missed the beginning and didn't know that the city they go to is reached by taking a flight on a French airline. Still, both movies did have the pelican-as-transport motif.
