Hurray, another October "in" Scotland!
Oct. 1st, 2004 09:59 amLast year at this time, I was quite absorbed by Monarch of the Glen, a light-hearted drama series set in Scotland and broadcast on BBC America. I've been waiting since spring for them to start showing series 6 (each season of British shows can be pretty short, like 8-12 episodes). Then this morning in the paper, I read that BBC America is going to show a new Scottish drama, Rockface, about a mountain rescue crew, so I looked on-line. Not only is there this new show, but they're rebroadcasting Hamish Macbeth (a cop show), which I missed the first time around, and there's now McCallum about a forensic pathologist (probably too dramatic for me), and, finally, Monarch is back, but they're just showing series 4. I want to know if Archie comes back from the Himalayas and if Lexie stays "laird" of Glenbogle! Maybe after showing series 4, they'll continue to series 5 and then start series 6.
Wow, I was looking at my bookmarked links to try to find a good picture of the Scottish highlands to put in here and found, from the real BBC website, a mention of Tom Baker joining the cast as a prodigal member of the family! Dr. Who!
