Today we were productive. First I got back the frisbee and replaced the batteries ($9.98 - that toss over the fence was a bit expensive). [livejournal.com profile] fractal9091 made brownies and worked on another school assignment, and I made more progress on the wizard shirt. I installed Warcraft III on R's computer, which worked fine network-wise, then spent quite a while reconfiguring the laptop's firewall to try to get the LAN to work, and eventually we just turned off the firewall, then the LAN worked again. I'll turn the firewall back on when [livejournal.com profile] fractal9091 goes home, so your window for infiltrating my laptop is pretty small, I'm afraid.

We transferred the photos from last year's DragonCon and this year's StellarCon to my computer, and we looked through them all so [livejournal.com profile] fractal9091 could identify the costumes I didn't know on my own. The DragonCon parade is absolutely amazing! Then we ate roast chicken and baby potatoes while watching Cars, and after D. went to bed we tried Warcraft III again (less successfully this time; we lost to powerful undead). By this time it was quite dark, and we walked down to Tugman Park (which was a bit too well lit) to play with that night-frisbee. It wasn't very functional as a frisbee but its ethereal blue glow looked really beautiful, especially against the night sky when it passed over my head (it never once passed over [livejournal.com profile] fractal9091's head, alas). Lots of stars, and Jupiter bright in the south.

And now we're going to watch some season 2 Inuyasha.
