Art! and neighborhood progress
Mar. 21st, 2024 11:45 pmMy friend Marjorie Taylor had a bunch of her pieces in an art exhibit at the little museum near campus, which ends tomorrow, but tomorrow we expect rain, so today I headed over there. Most of her pieces were akin to her earlier "vegan taxidermy" series - interesting animals made of fancy fabric over supports. The photos that turned out well were of some of the long-legged ones, but there was also an armadillo, I think, and an alligator. She also had two dresses in the exhibit, including the locally famous one made of playing cards.

My last dream last night involved a situation with a lot of vertigo, and I don't know whether I felt queasy after waking because of the dream or if the dream had been inspired by real-life sensations that I wasn't awake enough to notice. I did quite a few errands regardless.
Also - progress on some neighborhood things will happen tomorrow, on two fronts. First, it's been rather quieter at that problematic house, and my friend MN told me that her mom (Amber) had delivered some official notice to them and that police or some city officials are coming tomorrow to enforce the notice. Maybe they are obligated to leave? There were some different but equally hostile women packing things up today. Second, that branch that feel in J's yard in the January ice storm will finally be removed tomorrow. I hope they won't start up their chain saw too early, as J was feeling unwell this evening
