Sleepy day
Feb. 2nd, 2024 11:53 pmI mentioned that I'd taken an early evening nap to get the energy for going to the symphony, but it sure messed up my sleep last night. It took a while to fall asleep, and then I slept for only an hour - then I was awake again for a while, so I ate and read, and then slept another 5.5 hours, waking at my usual time. So today my brain was mush. I didn't really get any work done.
I had assumed that I'd end up falling asleep during our Friday movie night. It turned out, though, that this week's movie was perfect for me: The Fast and the Furious, which I had not seen. It was full of action but not very mentally engaging, and I entirely forgot about being sleepy until it was all over. I am sure I will sleep early tonight though!
Meanwhile, D. had to visit the office to pick up a piece of equipment. Since ORI has moved to a much cheaper building, it's no longer convenient at all, and since D. doesn't drive, it was a major bus trip. He was gone for almost exactly three hours (and says it took "10 seconds" inside the building to get what he'd come for). Too bad today was his day off...
