J&D have just now arrived in Las Vegas for the Magic Grand Prix. D. is playing in two grand prix, actually, Modern and Limited. J. is playing in the Limited one and side events. I believe this is D's sixth U.S. state (Oregon, California more times than I could count, Washington a few times, Idaho twice, Florida once, and now Nevada, plus British Columbia).
As for me, I attended a youth orchestras board meeting, this time held in a bank downtown, and I got a nice stack of books from the public library, then Sorin and I watched an enjoyable Aurora Teagarden mystery, A Very Foul Play. It had rained today, and the kittens spent much of the day clustered on my porch, before they decided it was good to sleep on the wet lawn.
