Day 645: Kittens home, and well

eve_primeOur pretty little babies went off to the vet and returned, safe and sound. J. drove them over there, since I'm not functional that early in the day, and since I woke with a headache, he picked them up too. So kind! They hid for a while, but when I came to sit in the garage after they'd had some time to sleep off the drugs, they each came out to visit with me. Ambrose curled up on my lap, Tertius wandered around back and forth nearby, and Azalyn - whose surgery had been the most invasive - eventually came out to roll around on her back at my feet, showing her very-shaved tummy.
I did some work, and some cleaning, and more cooking than usual, and I also made some progress on getting caught up on correspondence. D. went to the mall with S. and probably completed his Christmas shopping. J's back hurt after all the lifting of cats, so he didn't go to sword class. He's been napping in his chair all evening, and we're waiting to decorate the tree until tomorrow. I'd better start wrapping soon, in any case!
