Day 641: Quick trip to the office
Dec. 17th, 2021 11:50 pmToday I had to zip over to my office to pick up some stuff, and as it was late afternoon with the near-full moon rising, I was excited to take some photos with my new phone from the height of our fourth floor offices.
Here's the view looking northeast from our lunch room. If you look closely, you can see the Willamette River; it's the other side of the railroad track:

To the east, the distant snow-covered mountains were also visible, if one knows where to look for them. I zoomed way in. Some trees have grown up that slightly obscure the view. These are two of the Three Sisters, probably Middle Sister and South Sister:

By the time I got home, it was starting to get dark, and there were plenty of Christmas lights on Donald Street, so I got J. to come out for a walk with me once it had gotten fully dark. We went all around the immediate neighborhood, and I made a point to go to E. 39th Place, to the house that has had these lovely globes in their trees for more than 20 years now:
