Day 635: Steady rain

eve_primeI spent almost the entire day today doing two things: getting ready for J's birthday and adapting this week's blog post for a more general audience (that is, people not interested in my trying-out-a-game framing). The birthday stuff included picking up the cake, buying wrapping paper as all of ours was Christmas-themed, working on a related thing about which I'm not yet giving details, wrapping the presents, and discussing J's idea of spending pretty much his entire birthday evening (Tuesday) at sword class. That plan has now been modified.
The one other thing I managed to cross off my list today was getting D. signed up for his booster shot, which will happen on January 8. Last night he finished his final big assignment for fall term, and today he worked almost his full shift, then got sent home because they'd run out of things for him to package (they're training a new baker). He very happily set forth for his girlfriend's house and will return tomorrow in time for J's party.
Tonight we were looking forward to the season 1 conclusion of Yashahime, the sequel to Inuyasha. They'd scheduled all three episodes: 22, 23, and 24. We watched 22 and 23, which built up suspense, but then the Adult Swim people accidentally showed episode 21 instead of 24. There was even a note to that effect in Wikipedia. Weird.
