Day 620: Scheduling booster shots

eve_primeWe're trying to schedule our COVID booster shots (and hoping they'll help us if the Omicron variant, or more likely Lambda, makes it here). I scheduled mine at the supermarket for the 7th of December, and J. scheduled his for maybe the 29th, but D. was too busy then with schoolwork and missed out. Then today I learned that the county is running mass vaccination events at the fairgrounds, so J's going to try for that, with D, if it can be sooner than the 29th. This week they opened up next week's slots on Wednesday, but by the time we knew about it and got D's agreement, they were already taken. For all we know, they may have been filled up on Wednesday. Next Friday, slots will open for the following week, so we'll hope for that.
We also ordered Christmas gifts for J's family and got a bit of exercise by walking to the middle school after dark. We put a collar onto Azalyn (who keeps trying to scratch it off, but presumably she'll learn to tune it out). I met with the guy who's going to haul away the blackberry vines (he turned up unexpectedly), and he plans to do it next week. I also sorted through a pile of old clothes. I'm typing this out to remind myself that I was, actually, mildly productive today.
