Day 600: Oregon 26, Washington 16

eve_primeThis football game must have been miserable for all concerned, especially the Washington fans who sat there for hours and hours in Seattle in absolute pouring rain and then didn't get the win. It's a rivalry, so everyone was worked up, and there were oodles of penalties called. The announcers thought it may also have set a record for number of plays reviewed. It really went on and on, and with the ball and field so wet, both teams ended up scoring safeties, which is what happens when the team with the ball makes a major mistake in their own endzone. I'm glad we won, though.
(I also end up wondering, every year, how UW gets away with calling their team color "purple" when they're obviously wearing blue instead of purple. A very pretty blue, but clearly not purple. But maybe it's a matter of the stadium lighting.)
Heh, it really does bug me, every year. Now I have "proof" - the colors on the left are from a screen shot of their uniforms, except that they look even bluer on TV, and the color on the right is their actual school color.
