Day 592: D's Halloween (an hour backdated)

D's friends are hosting a Halloween party this evening, at their apartment near campus. D's wearing a suit with a Groucho mask, as "Man in Disguise," and S. is a "Fairy." I'm too unwell physically to drive today (back to queasy/woozy again), so J. dropped him off around 7:15 pm and got home in time for the Friday evening movie, which was Young Frankenstein. The plan was for him to pick them up at midnight, but D. later checked in to see if 1 a.m. would be okay. Yes... but at 12:10 a.m. we all got security alerts. There's an "armed suspect" who was five blocks away from the apartment building, a "White male wearing blue flannel shirt with black gator mask." So the plan now is for J. to park right outside the building, then they'll rush out and into the car, we hope...

Update: They are all safely home, though D&S were not ready at the door as they'd promised. There were lots of people walking around anyway. Meanwhile, the university never updated their security alert, but a local TV station posted that someone had been arrested at 12:30 a.m.
