Day 521: Resting

eve_primeA grander version of my day would have involved driving to the university library, getting a couple books I need, then parking near the Museum of Natural and Cultural History for their evening outdoor string quartet concert, then walking over to my office and doing more recycling. But I woke up tired, so instead I stayed home, mostly, and worked and such. Sort of a day off.
D. had the opposite experience, waking on what he thought was his day off to find he was expected at work, so he rushed off to do that. He saw me walking home from the store when he left on his lunch break and filled me in. After work, he learned that all his friends were hanging out in the home of two of them, a new apartment near campus, so I drove him over there and dropped him off.
J's energy was low too, but he did decide to attend sword class and I think he's glad he did, other than getting stabbed just below the armpit. The swords are blunt, but they're still supposed to have caps on the tips, which he and his sparring partner did not.
