Day 520: My new neighbor

eve_primeJust across from the Safeway shopping center in our otherwise residential neighborhood there's a bunch of condos, and my friend Z's friend who moved to Nepal years ago decided she wanted to sell her condo there to Z at some great price. It could be fun to have Z. as a neighbor again! Last time she was my neighbor, she was about five blocks west of us, and now she'll be two blocks east. She was my best friend at work for years and years, though now she sells real estate.
She says it's going to take at least a month to get the place fixed up and, especially, to winnow all her belongings down to what would fit into this relatively small home.
J. and I walked over there today - I'd never been on the property, but it appears there are maybe 72 units? Each has about 732 square feet. (My house is small with 1152 square feet.)
(Hm, it looks like LJ wants to charge me $28 annually to have the number of userpics that I have. It also claims that if it deactivates my existing userpics, it will limit me to the ones I've used most often in the last two months, which is clearly not the case. I haven't used 'lillian' in years, let alone 'kagome1' and 'kagome2' but the Mirajane icon I use almost daily is not among them. Maybe I'll just have to delete most of my userpics.)
