Day 517: Sunday doings
Aug. 15th, 2021 11:57 pmToday's main adventure was moving the new furniture into the kittens' room and removing an old cabinet, with a lot of vacuuming involved too. Fortunately, Geordi was hiding in the cat carrier when I went into the room, which made the process much easier - I just shut the door on the carrier and took him into my bedroom for the duration. Ginevra hid under a little table, and Jean-Luc dashed about in a state of agitation. Sorin, on the other hand, was totally into it, insisting on climbing the desk no matter what angle I had it at, and crouching rather too close to the vacuum.
After that (and buying groceries and making and eating spaghetti), we finally got to read outside a bit, as the air was sufficiently improved. I figure if I can see the individual trees on the hills 3-4 miles away, it's good enough. It got dark before I'd had enough of it, though.
After D. got home from work and ate spaghetti, he and S. set forth to attend a smallish birthday party for one of her K-pop dance group members. D. assumed it would be on campus, as their previous events had been, but it was at one of the apartments out by Churchill High School, and I guess it cost them like $15 to get there via Uber, so they called me for a ride home, around 12:15 a.m. I was pretty tired at that point, as I'd done all that furniture-moving and we also had done sword class exercises, but J. was willing to drive out there with me as a passenger. In retrospect, the traffic was so minimal that I probably would have done fine, but it was nicer to have the company.
(What happened to the rest of my 95 userpics? It claims I have only 15. Blah.)
