Today was moderately interesting, I suppose. The "kittens" turned two, and I gave them a fun toy, although only Jean-Luc was willing to play with it with the three of us plus Sorin (and Ajani the Bully) watching.
Earlier I drove my new car to my office to do some printing, and I walked over to the Olympic Trials venue, which was quieter than usual (of course), and it turned out that security was much tighter than usual too - people couldn't enter the wider venue without an event ticket.
We got pizzas at Pegasus and watched this week's movie, called something like, Final Fantasy: Advent Children, a sequel to the story in the Final Fantasy VII game. Then we played our Spire with Friends game, and then we finally got rid of the yellowjacket nest that a queen had built on the edge of the interior roof? top? hood? of the trunk of J's car. We hadn't minded the queen herself, but yesterday the new wasps started to hatch - and they left the queen behind when they came home from Silver Falls, anyway, and we needed to get rid of the rest of them. So, after midnight, we drove a half block away from the house, then J. suited up into his sword mask and gloves for defense, then knocked the nest off the car with a good flick of the tip of his sword, then I drove and he jogged home before they could properly wake up to figure out what was going on. I couldn't stop cracking up, especially during the planning stage. All fixed now.
