eve_primeFortune's Fool, by Mercedes Lackey. When I posted about the previous 500 Kingdoms book I said I wasn't going to go on to read this one too, then I did. Maybe I liked it better this time, but it's certainly not as fun as the first two. In this one, Lackey mashes together a bunch of Russian fairy tales that were featured in ballets, but starts off with a strange side trip to Japan, the only purpose of which seemed to be to give our female lead (the Sea King's youngest daughter) an origami bird she could send off to help her communicate with her sweetheart (a Russian prince) when in peril.
