Day 436: An actual concert!
May. 25th, 2021 11:52 pmI won a lottery drawing, I guess, to get to attend tonight's Delgani concert, which I'd already seen on Sunday, so I was better acquainted with the pieces they performed. The concerts are in the Christian Scientist Church in their main spacious room, and they'd designated seating with crepe paper, so that no groups had to sit within 6' of each other, and we all wore our masks. There were about 50 of us altogether. It was great! Not only did I get to hear the music, which sounded so much more "real" in person, but I got to talk with friends. Rob! Rena! Kim, the performing violist! Sophie! Amelie! Come to think of it, every one of them plays a string instrument. Such an amazing thing to get to do.
D. amused me with phone calls today - one asking if he could eat some of my rice, and one asking where the extra towels were, since he'd spilled water all over himself and his bedroom floor.
