My Calamity Jane, by Brodi Ashton, Cynthia Hand, and Jodi Meadows. This is the third and probably last? book in their series, which also included alternate, fantasy retellings of the stories of Jane Grey and Jane Eyre. I'm not terribly interested in Westerns, and it took a while for me to get into this one, but by the halfway point, I was completely hooked. Our characters are Calamity Jane, Frank Butler, and Annie Oakley, as teens working with Wild Bill Hickok - both performing in the Wild West show and, more quietly, as "garou hunters," that is, tracking down evil werewolves to bring them to justice. Only, as one Goodreads post notes, that's not what it's about at all. (It's about prejudice.)

Also, as a result of reading this book, I am pretty confident that I will never get Calamity Jane and Annie Oakley confused again, as they were very different women!
