Day 357: Indoors Sunday
Mar. 7th, 2021 11:58 pmMy ideal way to spend today would have involved lots of reading, some writing, and a walk, as it was somewhat sunny. Other things were scheduled, though, so all that fun stuff is saved for another day.
Instead, today had other fun stuff. First was a Delgani concert with lots of works and pieces of works by American composers - I liked it more than I expected to, and I loved the piece by William Grant Still they'd prepared for our encore. After that, we had a two-hour event for the youth orchestras, a "meet the coaches" thing with some of the musicians from the Mozart Players who are working with our students online. I enjoyed the performances and the conversations.
In the evening we watched three anime episodes while playing with the cats. J. had Sorin on his lap, and I had Ajani, and Jean-Luc nestled himself into the small gap between us; fortunately Ajani was mostly facing the other way so he didn't mind.
