Longbourn: Dragon Entail, by Maria Grace. This book tells the second third of Pride and Prejudice, with dragons. And where the first book had stuck to the original story, this one decidedly does not. Elizabeth runs away to London!

Some of the original major scenes remain, in amusingly different contexts. Elizabeth does have her big conversation with Lady Catherine, but at the time she's living in a plush basement suite in Lady Catherine's manor house. The explanatory letter from Darcy is replaced by a scene with all of his dragons setting her straight about his virtues, and the unwanted marriage proposal conversation isn't with Darcy, but Mr Collins. I laughed out loud at that part. There's also an entire convocation of dragons and the humans who work with them that meets to resolve all the story's problems.

The book ends with Elizabeth about to head to Netherfield to deal with a rogue dragon endangering Bingley and his new wife Jane, while her fiancé Darcy is on his way to Scotland to deal with mischief from Wickham and Lydia, and Mary is pleased to be engaged to Collins.
