A warm afternoon in late May
May. 29th, 2012 10:53 pmToday I spent a bunch of time waiting for a bit of time with the grad school editor. I thought it would be nice, while I waited, to reread some of John Muir’s account of his travels in South America, but when I found it in the library, I discovered I hadn’t brought my student ID. So, instead, mostly just sitting. I got lots of advice from the editor, though, when my turn came.
This evening’s “walk with the moms” lasted an hour and 20 minutes, really nice, and our neighborhood is seriously beautiful right now, with the rhododendrons, irises, and roses everywhere. We just went around on the druid-y hill, down to the Episcopalians’ outdoor labyrinth, then through the park and eventually back up to that hill, and then home.
