Oh yes, and it rained a lot today too

Today I met with G, who had been in Morocco, Dubai, Bangladesh, Nepal, and India since I last saw him. Then I went to the annual meeting for my employer, where I got to see a slide about my educational status (with applause) and also won a door prize, a $25 gift certificate to an upscale food/cooking store. Then, for the first time ever, I attended the end-of-term gathering for the social/personality group in my department, which was at a bar near campus, and I got to eat “cajun tots” while socializing.

So: Several nice and/or useful activities, but no real work progress, and I’m so tired, too tired to get anything done tonight.
