Warm

We’re having a two-day heat wave, but we were warned in advance. It’s not that bad, actually, except that it’s a month or two too early for weather this warm. It was about 96˚F today, and we expect the same tomorrow, then it will (we hope) drop back down into the 80s.

I stayed inside until the sun was lower, around 5:45 pm, then I went outside to read in the shade in J’s yard. He came out and read with me too. There was a fine breeze, and the jays were relatively quiet. Later I went to the store, then a short walk. I am so glad we have air conditioning!

People were talking about a heat wave here, but it hasn't materialised. It was warm today, but it is mid-June and even in North Wales we get warm weather in mid-June. I had hoped for a few dry days to start getting the back garden under control, but more rain is forecast. I did get all the back grass cut this afternoon though, so that's a start.
