Today I revitalized my “metaphors” paper, which had been sitting there untouched for two years. What a delightful surprise: The silly thing is nearly done, now that I’ve incorporated the related text I use in my grant proposals.

The Science Channel has now started showing Firefly, “with science commentary.” The latter turned out to be about as minimal as humanly possible, but we didn’t mind; it was a pleasure to watch the first episode of the show again. Can’t believe it’s been 8 years already.
