fractal9091 found this picture in one of the forums he frequents, I thought it was something people had done recently to make the ground look pretty from the air, but actually this was a real military installation, the star fort at Bourtange in the Netherlands. It was built for William of Orange, starting in 1580, and is now an open air museum, having been restored to its 1742 condition.
