In which I sell a car for a dime!

eve_primeSo I'm walking the half-block to Safeway, and here comes B., walking in the other direction, having just come from Allstate. He was coming to ask insurance questions, and he spots a dime on the street and puts it in his pocket. So he's transferring his car insurance to his own name, being all graduated now. The car had been in both our names, since that gave us a better rate, but it's really his car; my mom gave it to him two Christmases ago. (No, no, we can't afford to go buying relatives cars in our family! It was her car.)
Anyway, so Allstate had a deal where B. could get a really low rate, even being 22 and male as he is, if he insured a "recently purchased" car, and had been told that having me sell my share in the car to him, even for a dollar, would qualify. And I thought selling it to him for the dime on the street would be more poetic.
