Fun with another friend

eve_primeToday was fine, and then better than fine! I slept okay and was able to do all the errands that had stacked up. J’s immune system managed to shake off whatever was bothering him yesterday. And then in the evening, we got to spend time with our friend MSC!
Two weeks ago, JC had been here for a work visit, and stayed with DG and AA, and we visited the night before he left. This week it was MSC’s turn to be here for a work visit, also staying with DG and AA. We repeated our order of Thai food and sat around their house for about three hours, with lots of animated conversation. JC and MSC had moved to the Midwest a year and a half ago so that she could get a good faculty position and they’d live closer to their families. It turns out they aren’t seeing their families any more than when they’d lived here, and although there are some good aspects to her job, other aspects aren’t so great. I’m hoping they might move back here at some point.
